Ways To Make Extra Money With New eBay Rules

By Timothy Black

For even longer than anyone has known about eBay, I have been buying and selling there and witnessed all the many changes. And there have been tons of changes, yet how I do what I do and how much I make has not been affected. In fact, what I make has only increased over the years. I originally started in 1997 as a buyer and then moved to selling full time by 1998. All of this was prior to eBay becoming a common known place in our language and far before most even knew you could make a living on it. Online or in the real world, 11 years is quite a long time. And so you can just imagine all the changes I have seen and been through with eBay.

But eBay's changes aren't what is important when it comes to being a seller. It's really all about consistency - knowing how to list things properly, where to find things, and what to actually sell.

The key is not just finding things that have value to resell; the key is to do it over and over and over and to maximize the item for the most profit. With constant changes from eBay-fee increases, policy changes, etc.-my bottom line has only gone up. I know how to make eBay listing "pop" and get maximum dollars.

[Quick eBay Insight: Checks and money orders as of October are no longer an accepted payment method on eBay.]

Being aware that something has a value is only one thing, having the knowledge to get the absolute maximum profit out of the item is far more important.

This is something I definitely know first hand. Once, there was even a time when profit was a thing of struggle for me. Disasters in the beginning were one after another, and so were miscalculations. Victories, and stunning ones at that, started to also happen. This being my main income source you can bet I had to keep my focus in the game. Working techniques and strategies were something I began to learn, and they worked time and time again. The simplicity of it even made me laugh once I discovered it. But it took time and numerous trials to perfect this system into becoming the foolproof money maker it is now.

Now, perhaps I should have said this first. You see, I am one lazy guy. Working is not something I like, and it actually is even dangerous to my health. It is how I got to be here.

When I was born I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a deadly lung disease. The doctors notified my parents that they shouldn't expect me to live past seven years of age-yikes. Working full time was not an option unless frequent and long hospital stays were desired. I couldn't pay the bills since working the hours couldn't be done, and the option of living with Mom for life was definitely not an option. So I panicked.

Yup, I started selling everything I had in my apartment after my roommate moved out. I mean everything. And surprisingly enough, what I thought was worth money was... worthless. And the things I nearly threw in the garbage, were more profitable than I imagined. Not thousands of dollars or anything crazy, but it all added up quite nicely. I began to notice a pattern with these items and found that they were everywhere. People were passing them up all the time. In places everywhere...often in their own house, right under their noses.

This was great. It took hardly any time for me to find them, buy them and list them. I started getting a consistent profit.

It's a secret I have kept for years. Friends and family have always pushed me to say what I do and how I do it. They have always wondered how a lazy guy like me can make money and have every day be like a Saturday.

Many years have passed and I've been holding my incredible methods all this time. But it turns out that no matter where I visit or even where I go around my home, there is just too much stuff available. There is too much for me to do it alone, even if I wanted to.

[eBay Fun Fact: Everyone knows about the new feedback. Sellers can't leave "negatives" for buyers anymore, only positive...Buyers can leave all 3 types-positive, negative and neutral. But did you know that "neutrals" count as negatives toward seller's feedback?]

No matter the economy, no difference of what the trend is, every single day I am selling online and without any trouble at all. I still see experienced sellers who are online making the same mistakes I once made. They have no idea they could eliminate the hassles they've inadvertently created and also make so much more money at the same time.

Anyone can do it because it's easy. And the best part of making an extra income on eBay is that you do it on your time. Design your own hours while relaxing on the sofa as you earn an income. Even earning money while you sleep becomes a quick discovery when you follow the proven steps.

The fastest, low risk, and easiest way to make extra money is still on eBay even with all the policy changes and economy. - 15790
