Well, frankly, the first thing you wouldn't associate festivals with are books.

They're boring, musty and you wouldn't probably want to spend an activity that is meant to be done in the library. But what's different about book fairs, is you get to see an amazing difference rather than just your standard trip into the bookstore.

But book fairs, in my nerdy sort of way, are awesome. It's a book fest. Well, okay, that sounded boring. It's basically just like a bookstore. Except there's not much of the elevator music they keep playing in the PA system, you hear more noise because the fair is either outside or inside the mall, and you get to read while standing up, instead of lounging around in the bookstore's reading area.

The redeeming thing about Book Fairs is value. Yes, you get to find a book not available in any bookstore. That book could well have been the last of its kind, the surviving copy of a disallowed, or the diary of a legendary person. One would never comprehend the sensation unless one experiences it.

Those books could be from a personal collection, an antique, even something familial. I've seen my share of hand-bound, leather-covered books in a modern book fare and the feeling one gets is like finding Captain Whatsisname's treasure chest. Never mind if the book talks nothing but farming or some boring stuff, but the important thing is value. (I once found a book on necromancy, but let's not go into that.)

You could resell it in the next year's fair for an even heftier sum, or start your own personal collection of rare classics. Who knows, in a few year's time, you might be the proud owner of the literati's Holy Grail. Now that would count for something, wouldn't it? - 15790

What you need to know about Search Engine Submission

If your website has not been indexed by the search engines you will not come up in the search results. When you search the "web" using Google, Yahoo or MSN's search tools, you're not searching the Internet you are searching the search engines databases.

When a site is submitted to the search engines the search engines uses software called "spiders" to crawl the pages of your website through your internal site navigation and captures vital information about each page and in puts it into their database.

The information captured include Meta tags, content, H1 tags, Alt tags, sites that you link to and sites that links back to your site. The Meta tags are at the top of your web page in the code. They are in what is called the header. The Meta tags are very important to the search engines because they tell them what is on the page.

Along with the H1 tags Alt tags and the content in the body of the text on the web page this gives the search engines the information they need to index or put into their database your web page. It is very important that your Meta tags are specific to each page of your site. Do not just copy and paste the same Meta tags to every page on your website. There's a big explanation from that old and that later. There are several ways to get web pages into the search engines a database (indexed).

Submit your site to the different search engines. There are a lot of sites, for small fee, that will take your indexed pager homepage and submit it to hundreds or thousands of search engines over and over every month for the rest of your life. Run don't walk away from the sites. If you keep trying to submit your site, especially to Google, Yahoo and MSN, this may appear to them as spam. Spammy is bad! I suggest that you do not even register with Google, yahoo or MSN unless you have 6 to 9 weeks to sit around and wait for your website to be indexed.

The Christian Home Business and Achieving Your Best Efforts

If you Love what you do for work, you will never work a day in your life. This is a very True and Great way to approach and to look at our work, but we dont always get to do what we like or work alongside easy-going people. Any job you have, even a job that you love well, will have its low points and tasks that will feel like drudgery to you. So to get the Most out of work and love it, our attitude cant be based upon the work itself or our own feelings.

Our work must reflect our position as Gods children. We would be very wise to adopt a new way of looking at our work. Work for the Lord you love, and you will be fulfilled every day of your life. (Colossians 3:23) Work wholeheartedly and willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Biblical obedience isnt just an external show along with an inward dissatisfaction and bitterness, but a true commitment to the happiness and well-being of our employer. Servants, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are observing you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord (Colossians 3:22). Times have definitely changed drastically through the years of history, but this profound godly principle still applies to the world of today. We get the greatest results from our work when we view ourselves as servants. Our modern day civilization educates us to pursue power and respect for ourselves, instead of working diligently for those who are in authority over us. But Gods Word teaches us very different principles, and that is one of respect for the authority above us, and one of hard diligent work that is not self-serving.

As Gods children we are called to be His servants, and since we spend a great amount of time at our work, most of our service towards the Lord will be done at our workplace. As employees, we are to always practice the biblical principles of obedience and sacrifice, as it doesnt matter who our human boss is, God is the ultimate authority watching over our behavior. He wants to see that we are practicing integrity, diligence, and righteousness at work.

If you are blessed by God with the opportunity of owning a work at home business, which I highly urge most everyone to have as an important goal, you better take great care of it and work it with great diligence, or your ultimate supremacy (boss) will take it away from you. In regards to operating a Christian Home Business, in which YOU are now given the title of boss, please remember that you will always still have a boss that is in charge of you - and that is our Lord. I highly recommend that everyone do a research on the idea of owning a home based business for themselves, just to see if it could be a great decision for your financial situation.

God has intended us to be people of high standards, and doesnt want us to perform anything in a manner that results in just enough to get by. Hes called us to shine in the middle of any crowd, and to be people of greatness and integrity. Which means if you are working at a job as an employee, or if you have the good fortune of owning a home based business, we must always remember that God did not create us to be of standard quality or to be average at anything we set out to do.

The only way that we can actually be content in our life and work, is to be exactly who we have been planned to be, and that is people of distinction and integrity. If there is any evidence of compromise in the essence of our work, we could easily miss out on what could have been our grandest accomplishments or our largest triumphs in our life.

You must remember to never allow mediocrity or middle of the road to be a part of your life or work, as you could quite possibly be missing out on some wonderfully awesome blessings in your life. God doesnt bless average or middle of the road, but he does bless excellence and integrity! If we work with this measurement of excellence in our daily and constant thoughts, God promises to reward and take care of us! If you desire the highest and best results for your life, then you must start shooting for nothing but high excellence and integrity in your life now. You can easily start by always doing just a little bit more than you are expected or are presumed to do in all aspects of your life. It is this little bit more that will be the factor for your life being a life of just commonplace and boring, or a life of great excellence, adventure and grand achievements. - 15790
