You see there is this idea out there that you have to compete to get ahead; that competing will move you ahead in life, and that's just not the truth.

The reason it's not the truth is because competition is an ego-based idea. It comes from the fear-based mind, and not the creative mind.

The idea that there is not enough to go around is rooted in fear. And any time you think there is a lack of something (ie. time, money, etc.) you're living in the scarcity mindset. You're living from fear.

Fear is not the truth. Competition is not the truth.

Want to know the truth? There is more than enough for everyone.

There isn't any competition?

Ok, competition exists, but in a different way than you might perceive. It only exists in your ego-based, fear thinking mind.

Let me explain. I'm sure one time or another you've had an apple pie. And the way one person makes their apple pie is completely different from the way another person bakes it.

You see, some people will think you're pie is too sweet, that it is missing apples, or that the crust is too soft. Some might even think your pie is too small.

And I'm going to tell you that it doesn't matter how you bake your pie. There will always be someone who will like your pie.

Although in forex you arent swinging a club and clicking the mouse doesnt take a whole of effort, controlling your emotions and sticking to your rules does. If you sit down with the mindset that you are going to trade by the rules you are already training your emotions. You are giving your brain a dry run that says we arent going to trade today using the anger from last night.

This is a powerful exercise that will, if done properly, change your trading for the better. You will train yourself to leave the emotions for the chick flicks because it doesnt belong in your trading. That is a powerful and confidence building skill for every trader.

Remember one rule: If you make a little bit every day, then you have earned the right to trade bigger. If you jump the gun and start trading because you lost the last several times you arent being motivated by something that will lead you to success. Emotions dont make wise investments. - 15790
