Home Business - Paid Surveys

By Hailey Gates

"How much can you actually get paid taking surveys?" This is the question most people ask when they find out about the survey taking business. It all depends on how determined you are, just like any other job!

If you expect to get rich quick being paid taking surveys, you need to revise your expectations. There are people out there making a nice income off of paid surveys, but they have learned the tricks of the trade. If you are serious, you will do well - once you have paid your dues!

When looking for surveys to take, you may notice some will inform you that you don't 'qualify'. That is because some surveys target a particular demographic, and you might be not fit the age range, ethnic group or gender the research company is investigating. Other times, they may need a set number of participants from a variety of demographics, but all the spots in the one you match have been filled already.

Serious survey takers will be extremely organized and have a well thought out plan for staying that way. They will have set up an email account specifically for their survey notifications, and have a list prepared of sites they plan to register for. They will also keep track of surveys they have completed to be sure they are credited properly!

Normally survey sites will start you off slowly, sending you one or two surveys per week. They will ask you to fill out profiles so they can start pre-qualifying you for the narrow demographic surveys. Fill out as many as you can to qualify for more surveys to take.

The amount you get paid taking surveys will start off at anywhere from $1 - $5 per survey. You may receive bonuses for filling out profiles, which can be added to subsequent survey payments. After a while you will start seeing the dollar amount per survey begin to rise.

For the longer, more important surveys, you can make $20, $25 or even more. The amount goes up from there if you are willing to get paid taking surveys over the phone or in person. Once you have a reputation for being a professional survey taker, you will get offers for even more surveys to take.

Taking surveys is definitely a legitimate, real way to earn money, but it's not a get rich quick scheme. However, with a strong will to succeed, you can make some decent cash and the opportunities will continue to increase. The best part is, you can do it amidst all the comforts of home! - 15790
