Domestic Helper USA Visa: What You Need to Remember

By Alice Sy

For a U.S.-applying domestic helper, USA Visa is very much necessary. No domestic helper is able to enter the States or to travel with their employer without an approved visa. When it comes to applying for one, you need to remember the necessary rules.

A non-immigrant type of visa needs to be acquired by an interested domestic helper. This is because domestic helpers should not be planning to migrate to the U.S. It is only because of the work contract that they are applying for a visa. Thus, a duly signed working contract must already be in order at this point.

For a lawful recognition on the worker rights in the U.S. of the domestic helper, USA Visa must first be obtained. Along with the scheduled interview in the American embassy, a domestic helper must be able to present the necessary papers such as passport, application confirmation sheet, and other expired or existing visas.

Your domestic helper needs to be able to pay for the required fee for visa application. The application form is available on the Internet and the payment cannot be refunded after being made. The length of time that the fee can be deemed valuable is within one year of date of payment.

On the Internet, an electronic application form can be accessed by anyone applying for a visa, including a domestic helper. USA Visa won't be made available to an applicant who commits lapses in submitting the requirements. This includes a completed application form complete with latest photo.

Along with these documents, an existing contract between employee and employer must also be shown to the designated embassy authorities during the interview. This will be proof that the domestic helper already has a job waiting for him or her in the U.S.

It is also highly important for the domestic helper to present a proof of residence or home ownership in his or her home country which is not intended for abandonment. Intention of overstaying is not allowed for a domestic helper. USA Visa approval in this case can be put to risk.

The domestic helper must also be employed already by his or her employer for not less than a year. Once the needed documents are submitted and the interview questions effectively answered by the domestic helper, USA Visa consent won't be far from possible. - 15790
